The hotel has been welcoming visitors since the mid 1800's. Bought as the Queen's Arms from Andrew Miller in 1892, Willie Kee quickly named the business Kee's Hotel and began a family tradition that has spanned four generations.
Willie knew that his horse drawn hackney business would be an ideal supplier of customers and collected visitors and businessmen from the local headquarters and main station of the County Donegal Railway. In addition, the family had a small farm holding in and around the village of Stranorlar which supplied fresh produce for the table.
As the years have passed, the hotel has grown and developed to meet the changing needs of the local community and many visitors from further afield. Now the fourth generation of Kees continue the day to day running of the hotel and look forward to welcoming new guests and old friends.
